Empire Media Solutions
Empire Photography was founded in June 2020 and became Empire Media Solutions in March 2025. Starting with real estate and property photography, Empire's services have expanded into full-service media marketing, encompassing commercial photography, videography, and design with a studio in Frederick, MD and on-location throughout the greater DC Metro area. The name change signified a shift in where we are heading as well with different types of media and marketing solutions in play and on the way.
Our ideal clients are all sorts of businesses - but especially those that know they need to market themselves or their brand, but don't know where to start. We are here to come up with the creative solutions needed to increase your brand awareness and reach new customers.
The goal with each client is still to "Capture Your Empire" - with a unique marketing minded approach to creating high quality media to grow your business. If you have people, places, or products we dare to ask, "How can we Capture Your Empire?"

Kourtney Roman
I have always been a creative person and like to think of myself as a creative problem solver. After graduating high school I moved to TN to pursue a Bachelors Degree at Middle Tennessee State University. I graduated in 2013 with a degree in video and film production. During college, I discovered my passion for photography. I quickly began taking photos of the things I saw, taco packets on the side of the road, my nephews, and then my love of nature grew.
Life brought me back to the Maryland area in 2016. New opportunities presented themselves which allowed me to get into real estate photography. When I started my business I didn't want to photograph things "with a heartbeat" --- that quickly changed. I worked with Frederick Lifestyle Magazine which quickly taught me that not only could I work with and photograph people/businesses, but I was actually really good at it.
Since then my company has grown and had a life of it's own. Changing over the years to not just provide photography services, but videography and design services as well. Empire Photography (born in 2020) became Empire Media Solutions (2025) - a full-service media marketing company with a studio in Frederick, MD. We engage with our clients from concept to delivery and beyond. I've even fake-trademarked the strategy and creative solutions that come from Kourtney's Brain™.
Above all, I love helping people and I think of the services I provide as doing just that. If I can use my brain and skills in commercial photography, videography and design to grow someone else's business, then I feel like I have done my job. So how can I help you Capture Your Empire?!
I currently live in the hip & historic, downtown Frederick, MD. Outside of work you can probably catch me hiking on a trail or at an oddball tourist attraction with or without my cat Spielberg.

Absolutely loved the experience. Very comfortable and relaxing environment and Kourtney was great with getting some looks I didn't even know I was capable of making for professional headshots.
